Springs Credit Union Robbed at Gunpoint

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- Colorado Springs police are investigating an armed robbery at an area credit union on Thursday.

Authorities say the robbery happened around 12:20 p.m. at the Ent Federal Credit Union, located at 123 South Weber Street. The suspect, described as a white male in his 40's, reportedly entered the credit union armed with a black handgun and robbed the establishment. Police didn't immediately release details about just exactly what was taken during the robbery.

Police say the suspect weighs about 130 pounds, is approximately 5'8" in height, and was last seen wearing dark clothing and a dark beanie.

Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Key Bank on 3085 South Academy Boulevard on Thursday.

Officials searched apartments at the Southpointe Apartment complex at South Academy and Jetwing where they believe the suspect ran after the armed robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties, 6 feet and 180-190 pounds, last seen wearing a black hoodie with dark pants.

Colorado Springs Father Arrested for Killing Infant Daughter

(COLORADO SPRINGS) -- Another Colorado Springs man was arrested for the death of his baby on Wednesday.

Roderick Elam Jr. became the second Colorado Springs father to be arrested for the death of his infant in a week. Elam's two-month-old daughter died from a blow to the head on Dec. 15. Just a day earlier, the daughter of Nicholas Patrick Smith died from head trauma. Smith was charged with felony child abuse.

Elam is currently being held on a bond of $250,000.

Former Employee Arrested in Attempted Robbery of Pizza Shop

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- A knife-wielding former employee of a Little Caesars Pizza restaurant in Colorado Springs has been arrested by police for allegedly trying to rob his former employers.

Police say shortly before 8 p.m. they were called to the store on South Academy Boulevard on a report about a former employee being in the store, knocking over racks and pans, waiving a knife at employees and threatening to kill an employee if the cash register wasn't opened. The suspect then reportedly left the store without taking any cash.

Phinehas McNeal was tracked down arrested in connection with the incident, and is charged with attempted aggravated robbery and felony menacing, among other charges.

Springs Man Appears in Court on 39 Felony Charges

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- A Colorado Springs photographer appeared in court Wednesday on 39 felony charges stemming from allegations he molested an 11-year-old girl and took sexually explicit photos of her and her younger sister.

Prosecutors allege 46-year-old Glen Owen Godec carried out the abuse inside his home, including molestation, sexual exploitation of a child, and several charges relating to possession of child pornography. It is unclear how the suspect knew the victim prior to the alleged abuse, if at all. He was arrested Dec. 6 following a five-month-long investigation.

Godec's next appearance in court is scheduled for Feb. 22. As a condition of his $50,000 bond, Godec is prohibited from having contact with children.
