Police Search for Missing Colorado Springs Man

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- Colorado Springs Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing local man.

Police say George Brown, 55, has been missing since Saturday. Brown reportedly asked a neighbor for a ride to Cheyenne Mountain Canyon, and hasn't been seen since.

Brown is described as a black male, about 6' 1" in height, weighing approximately 180 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue jean jacket and tan work boots. He was carrying a reusable grocery bag and a black backpack.

Anyone with information on Brown's whereabouts is asked to contact police at (719) 777-7000.

Police Investigating Armed Robbery

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- Police are investigating a home invasion robbery in which two men and a woman robbed and injured a Colorado Springs resident on Monday night.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers responded to 3050 E. Fountain Boulevard where the homeowner informed them that he had responded to a knock at the door to see a woman he recognized outside. When he opened the door, two males barged into his apartment holding a shotgun to his neck. The suspects took a number of items and assaulted the man before fleeing.

The female suspect is described as a light-skinned black female, approximately six feet tall and 200 pounds with black hair.

One male suspect is described as a black male in his early 30s, about 6-feet-3 inches tall with a chubby build. He was last spotted wearing a gray shirt and black pants. The other male suspect is reportedly in his early 20s, about 5-feet-9 inches tall and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white T-shirt underneath and black shoes.

The suspects left the scene in a black four-door sedan with unknown license plates. The incident is still under investigation.

Cops: Teens Tried to Entice Children into SUV

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- Two teenagers attempted to lure two young children into their SUV by claiming they had candy, according to the Colorado Springs Police.

Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of War Eagle Drive Monday at 9:45 p.m. on reports of a "stranger danger situation," authorities say. They found a 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl, who said they had been approached while they were walking their dog around the neighborhood.

According to the kids, two teenage males driving a large, dark colored SUV pulled up next to them and asked if they wanted candy. The kids did not acknowledge the teens and instead walked home and notified police.

The two suspects are described as white males in their teens, both with blonde hair. On Sunday, there was a similar situation, but the suspect in that case was said to be a bald Hispanic man is his thirties.

Police Respond to Report of Early Morning Assault

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- Police responded to a report of three men assaulting a woman with possible shots fired early Tuesday morning, but were unable to find the victim or suspects upon arriving at the scene.

Police received the call alerting them to a disturbance in the parking lot at the Pinons Apartments at 3603 Airport Road at 2:15 a.m. They were told that three males were assaulting one female in a white vehicle in the parking lot, and that gunshots had been heard.

When police arrived at the scene, police couldn't find the victim, suspects or their vehicle. They did find another vehicle that had two bullet holes in it, as well as a house to the south of the parking lot that also had a bullet hole.

Nobody in the house was injured, and officers were unable to locate the owner of the damaged car.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Bank Twice in One Month

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- Police are searching for a man who is accused of robbing the Academy Bank on Briargate Boulevard twice in the past two months.

According to a press release from the Colorado Springs Police Department, the man entered the bank on June 6 and threatened the clerks. He obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. There were no other patrons in the bank at the time of the robbery.

The same suspect had reportedly robbed the same bank on May 20, just after 4:30 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s. He is at least 6-feet tall and has a thin build.
