City Fleet Employee Turns In Copper Thieves

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- A driver for City Fleet helped police arrest three alleged copper thieves, ABC affiliate KRDO reports.

Christine Keller was on her way to refill the fuel units at the fleet facility when she noticed suspicious activity on the side of West Cimarron Street near 21st Street. She realized the men were stealing copper wire from the street light poles, and called police.  When officers arrived, they arrested the three suspects.

"Christine was observant enough to notice something suspicious when others may have driven right by," says Fleet Parts Supervisor Rob Ramsey. "We're proud of her for helping CSPD make the arrest."
