Colorado Ski Visits Lowest in 21 Years

(DENVER) -- Colorado Ski Country USA says ski visits in Colorado during the 2011-12 season fell to its lowest point in 21 years, according to a report in the Denver Business Journal.

The main reason for the decrease in number of visits, which fell by 9.8 percent in the winter months, was the lack of snow.  Just over eleven million visits were made during that time.

Nationwide, the amount of ski visits fell by fifteen percent, according to the report.
