Domestic Dispute Leads to Man Being Arrested on Gun Charge

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- A domestic dispute over the weekend has led to a 27-year-old man being arrested on a gun charge.

Police say on Sunday morning they were called to the 2200 block of Friendship Circle on a report of a domestic disturbance. According to a police report, responding officers learned that a woman and her ex-boyfriend Aaron Burch, were involved in a dispute, during which, Burch allegedly got a handgun and threatened to shoot himself. Police say a neighbor intervened and took the weapon away from Burch.

The female victim reportedly sustained minor injuries during the altercation.

At the home, police say they also found a 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition for the shotgun and handgun. Burch, a convicted felon, was charged with possession of a weapon by previous offender, along with domestic violence charges.
