Suspect Arrested in Colorado Springs Bank Robberies

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- Police have arrested a suspect in two recent bank robberies in the Colorado Springs area.

Matthew Ray, 28, was arrested Tuesday night around 9 p.m. for allegedly robbing at gunpoint Key Bank on May 21. Shortly after his arrest, police say they recovered video surveillance from an April 27 robbery at Vectra Bank that tied Ray to the crime.

The suspect remains in police custody at the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
