Armed Robber Gets Away with Shopping Cart Full of Cash at Walmart

(WALTERBORO, S.C.) -- An armed robber got away with a shopping cart full of cash at the Walterboro Walmart on Bells Highway, ABC affiliate WCIV reports.

A manager and another employee were placing money from the registers in a shopping cart, when a man armed with a handgun approached, pointed the weapon in their faces and ran away with the cart full of money. The robbery happened right after midnight on May 18.

Police have not released how much money was in the cart. There is also no clear description of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
