Lexington Mayor Says Traffic Biggest Issue

(LEXINGTON, S.C.) -- Mayor Randy Halfacre addressed the city of Lexington Monday in his State of the Town address and said the number one issue affecting his fair city is traffic congestion.

A main reason for the constant congestion is the pace at which the fast growing area is expanding at.

To address the issue, Mayor Halfacre says money is in place to widen Main Street, Columbia Avenue, and others.

Other issues Halfacre discussed Monday included asking the town council to approve a downtown Saturday Farmer's Market and approve a dog park, calling the latter a quality of life issue.
