(COLUMBIA, S.C.) -- South Carolina has some new equipment to fight wildfires across the state.
Governor Nikki Haley along with other officials were on hand Wednesday at the Statehouse to unveil new closed-cab fire suppression units that will be used to fight wildfires.
The new units reportedly protects against heat, smoke and dust experienced by the operator during intensive wildfire suppression.
"We can say all day long that we protect law enforcement and that we protect firefighters and we appreciate them," Haley said in a statement. "But you don't appreciate them by saying it. You appreciate them by doing it."
