SC Man Disappears in Rough Storm Waters in Alabama

(ORANGE BEACH, Ala.) -- Crews in Alabama are searching for a South Carolina man who, on Sunday, disappeared in rough waters brought on by Tropical Storm Debby.

Officials said the man -- whose name was not immediately released -- went under on Sunday afternoon in the waters of Orange Beach, and hasn't been seen since. Crews scoured the waters into Sunday evening, but had no luck. The search had to be suspended until Monday morning.

The Press-Register reports that the man was on vacation in the area with his family at the time.
