Police Ask for Help in Apprehending Robbery Suspects

(ARLINGTON, Texas) -- Arlington Police are asking the public's help in identifying two suspects officials say committed at least 10 robberies in the area since May.

ABC News affiliate WFAA reports that cops are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects who they say pulled off armed robberies of convenience stores along State Highway 360.

One suspect is described as black male aged between 20 and 30 years old and is 6-foot-1 in height, of medium build with a dark brown skin tone and short black hair. The second suspect is described as black male in his 20s and is 6-foot-1 in height, of medium build with a medium brown skin tone, short black hair and possible scars on his lower lip.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Arlington Police Department at 817-45-6777.

Police Hunting for Driver Involved in Fatal Arlington Crash

(ARLINGTON, Texas) -- One person is dead and another in the hospital following an early morning vehicular crash in Arlington on Thursday. Cops say a driver involved in the accident fled the scene.

The crash reportedly occurred around 1:15 a.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 30 in the vicinity of Center Street. Authorities say a white truck rear-ended an Isuzu pickup truck, ejecting and fatally injuring 20-year-old Sean Huntsman, a passenger in the pickup truck. Huntsman was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the pickup was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities are searching for the driver of the white truck, who drove away from the wreck after the collision.

Colorado Man Falls off Top Floor of Dallas Mall in Front of Shoppers

(DALLAS) -- Police are investigating the death of a Colorado man after he fell off the top floor of a Dallas mall in front of dozens of shoppers.

According to authorities, 44-year-old Crisan Hindorean plunged to his death from the top floor of the Galleria Dallas at 13350 Dallas Parkway and crashed onto an indoor ice rink. The jump left shoppers emotional and in disbelief, according to witnesses.

Police say initial reports indicated the man jumped. However, authorities believe he may have fell. Hindorean, of Boulder, Colo., was with family members at the time of the fatal accident, police said.

Authorities say the rink was in use at the time of the fall, but no one was injured.

Woman Sentenced to 18 Years in Death of Dallas Taxi Driver

(DENTON, Texas) -- An Argyle woman has been sentenced to 18 years behind bars for her role in the 2009 robbery and murder of a Dallas taxi driver.

Mariesha Ohlfs, 34, was convicted of aggravated robbery on Monday and then sentenced on Tuesday in a Denton County courtroom.

Taxi driver Hooshang Vatanpour, 56, was robbed and killed in July, 2009. Prosecutors say Ohlfs worked alongside her boyfriend Noah Whitehead, and another man, William Stephens, to help plan the robbery of Vatanpour, according to published reports. Testimony stated that Ohlfs brought a container of gasoline, which was used to set the victim's body on fire. Vatanpour was found dead in Denton County with his throat cut and his body burned.

Whitehead and Stephens were convicted of capital murder in the case.

More Than a Dozen Prize Horses Killed in Barn Blaze

(MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas) -- At least 13 prize horses were killed in a barn fire in southwestern Montgomery County Tuesday morning, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The fire started before 6 a.m., and by the time firefighters reached the barn, it had been completely destroyed. There were reportedly 28 Arabian horses in the barn, 13 of which have been confirmed dead. One horse is still missing.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
