Dallas County Judge Reduces Bond for Man Who Set Puppy on Fire

(DALLAS) -- A Dallas County judge reduced on Friday a bond set for a man accused of setting a puppy on fire, ABC News Dallas affiliate WFAA-TV reports.

The bond for Darius Ewing, 18, was reduced from $100,000 to $50,000, but with stipulations that included the requirement of Ewing to periodically undergo drug tests.

Ewing's attorney alleged the original $100,000 bond was excessive and oppressive. Prosecutors fired back, saying that Ewing spent the last four years violating probation and law enforcement. He was also previously arrested for sexual assault.
