Fort Worth Mother Charged with Injuring Child Who Later Died

(FORT WORTH, Texas) -- A Fort Worth mother has been charged with injuring her 3-year-old daughter who later died, the Dallas Star-Telegram reports.
Police have charged Janice R. Anthony with injury to a child with serious bodily injury. Officers found her daughter, Paris Howard, dead on the floor when they were called to the family's residence in southwest Fort Worth on the morning of Sept. 6.
A homicide sergeant said the girl had obvious bruising to her body.
