Pilot Says Laser was Pointed at Cockpit

(DALLAS) -- A pilot trying to land his plane at Addison Airport claimed someone pointed a laser at his Cessna, according to ABC affiliate WFAA-TV.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Thursday night.  The pilot called in to the control tower to report the laser as he tried to land.

Authorities canvassed the area, but found nothing, according to the report.

Pointing a laser into an aircraft's cockpit is a federal crime.
