Police Detain Suspect in Apartment Complex Fire

(RED BIRD, Texas) -- Police detained a woman they believe was responsible for starting a fire at a Red Bird apartment complex early Monday morning, the Dallas News reports.

A spokesperson for Dallas-Fire Rescue said firefighters quickly extinguished the fire at the Mandalay Palm Apartments in the 7200 block of Chesterfield Drive around 1 a.m.

No one was injured in the blaze, but six units were made uninhabitable, the paper says.

The identity of the woman has not been released.
