<p>Police say that Patrick Adger, 38, killed Demetrious Matthews when he hit her with a motor vehicle on the night of April 30. An autopsy by the Dallas County Medical showed that the caused of death was blunt trauma injuries that were consistent with being run over.</p>
<p>Police say that Adger was found to be in possession of Matthews&rsquo; vehicle.</p>

<p>At 4:55 a.m., firefighters were first alerted to the blaze at the Hunter&rsquo;s Court apartment complex, located at 8550 Spring Valley Road in Northeast Dallas. When they arrived at the scene, firefighters found flames climbing the west wall of the multi-story building. Upon reaching the attic, the blaze quickly spread to the rest of the building.</p>
<p>Over the next half an hour, three more alarms rang, and a total of 72 firefighters were called out to fight the flames before they were finally able to extinguish it.</p>
<p>There were only two injuries, both from smoke inhalation. A resident was sent to the local hospital and a firefighter was treated on the scene.</p>
<p>There were 20 units in the building, all of which were rendered uninhabitable by the fire. At least 39 residents are seeking housing assistance.</p>
<p>The cause of the fire is under investigation.</p>

<p>Detectives are trying to find the individuals involved in the death of Sam Morris, 61. Morris was assaulted by a group of juveniles at approximately 9:55 Saturday night on Sunnyvale Street. He was knocked into the street by his assailants, and was then run over by a white vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid.</p>
<p>Morris was taken to Baylor Hospital and pronounced dead.</p>
<p>Police are asking anyone with information about the incident, specifically information that could lead to the identification of the driver, to contact Homicide Detective Barnes at (214)-283-4818.</p>

<p>The 27-year-old biker, whose name has not been released, was riding down Miller Road at about 12:30 a.m. A Garland police officer attempted to pull him over near Jupiter Road, but the biker fled the scene at high speed for unknown reasons.</p>
<p>The biker crashed into a southbound Cadillac at the Plano Road intersection. The impact sent the car spinning and destroyed the motorcycle. The biker was thrown from the motorcycle.</p>
<p>The officer and a witness pulled him away from the burning wreck, and he was taken to Baylor University Medical Center where he died. The driver of the Cadillac had only minor injuries.</p>

Among the items stolen were the offier's wallet, approximately $475, his driver's license, his Dallas Police Department ID card and his warrant of appointment. The last document allows him, as a police officer, to carry a gun.<br /><br />It is unclear whether the suspect was attempting to impersonate a police officer. He is expected to be sentenced in the next month.<br /><br />Julian had been accused of charging at Dismuke before her daughters intervened. Julian then attempted to use a stun gun on the daughters, but had it wrestled away from him. <br /><br />According to the<em> Morning News</em>, Julian grabbed Dismuke's pet kitten and swung it by its tail before letting it go. The kitten flew off of the second floor landing and down to the pavement. The child appears to have then accidentally shot himself in the shoulder. <br /><br />According to the Dallas Police Department, the child was taken to  Children's Hospital and is being treated for the gunshot wound.</p>
<p>The child's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. According to police, the boy's mother was in a different bedroom with her infant child and his grandfather was in a separate area of the house. <p>On April 21, Officer Bryan Burgess was with another officer investigating suspicious activity. Their suspect, Fred Bradford attempted to flee down Martin Luther King Boulevard on a bicycle. The other officer tried to chase him down on foot while Burgess pursued in the police vehicle.</p>
<p>On Julius Schepps Freeway the police vehicle collided with Bradford&rsquo;s bike, sending Bradford to the hospital. Bradford later died on May 13 at Baylor hospital.</p>
<p>In light of this, the Dallas Police Special Investigations Unit is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the incident. Burgess has been placed on administrative leave in the meantime.</p>
