Student, 4, Brings Crack Cocaine to School
(DALLAS) -- A four-year-old student brought crack cocaine to school on Wednesday, ABC affiliate WFAA reports.
A teacher, who noticed the child putting something in his pocket, asked the young boy to show her what it was. The child had what police say was crack cocaine.
Narcotics officers as well as Child Protective Services were called to the school to investigate. The little boy told them the drugs belonged to his father, Joshua Ruiz.
Police discovered a box with more crack cocaine and heroin in his father's car. They arrested him for child endangerment, along with his mother Christy Ruiz. Joshua Ruiz was also charged with the manufacture and delivery of cocaine and heroin, both felony offenses.
