Terrance Black Trial: Judge Will Wait to Decide on Venue Change

(McKINNEY, Texas) -- A Texas district judge has issued a gag order in the Terrance Black trial, but has decided to wait until jury selection before possibly changing the venue, ABC affiliate WFAA-TV reports.

Black is accused of killing Plano fitness instructor Susan Loper. His attorneys have argued that a local jury would be biased because of the publicity surrounding the case. Six witnesses, including five North Texas lawyers, testified that Black cannot get a fair trial in McKinney.

Once the jury is selected, Judge John Roach Jr. will make a ruling on moving the trial.
