(DALLAS) -- Motorists across North Texas are reminded to buckle up or face fines, ABC News Dallas affiliate WFAA-TV reports.
The state's annual Memorial Day Seat Belt Awareness Campaign kicked off Monday and motorists could face up to $250 fines if they choose not to buckle up. The campaign runs through June 3.
The leading cause of death in Texas is traffic collisions.
