(FORT WORTH, Texas) -- On Monday evening, a domestic argument escalated in Fort Worth leaving one woman dead, another seriously injured and a man in jail, reports the Star-Telegram.
Ana Bertha Gomez, a 51-year-old woman died, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office while another 24-year-old woman, had stab wounds and was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital.
Investigators say the Velez and the young woman had previously dated. Velez was in the home with Gomez on Monday evening when the 24-year-old woman came on the scene.
Several hours after the stabbing, Samuel Velez, 35, was arrested by police on the 2200 block of East Berry Street.
