Boy, 7, Fatally Injured While Doing Farm Chores

(LAMOTTE, Iowa) -- A 7-year-old boy is dead after the four-wheeler he was using to do farm chores in LaMotte crashed on Thursday evening.

Officials say they were called to the farm on Centerville Road shortly after 7 p.m., with responders determining that a vehicle being used by Austin Reuter had rolled over and caused injury to the child as he was doing chores. The boy was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, where he was pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation.
