(COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa) -- An investigation is continuing into the death of an 11-year-old boy from Nebraska, who died after being pulled from waters at Lake Manawa State Park in Council Bluff on Wednesday.
The boy has been identified as Isaiah Griffin, of Omaha, Nebraska.
Griffin was at the lake as part of an outing with an Omaha mission, reports the Des Moines Register, when he went under water for some time and was then found unresponsive around 2:30 p.m. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities said the boy's death appears to have been accidental.
