Obama To Visit Newton And Des Moines on Thursday's Iowa Trip

(DES MOINES, Iowa) -- President Barack Obama will be campaigning in Iowa on Thursday, visiting both Newton and Des Moines.

The Des Moines Register reports that Obama will be visiting a wind turbine blade manufacturer in Newton to discuss wind-related tax credits. His next stop will be the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, where he will likely debate the ideas of presidential hopeful and likely rival candidate Mitt Romney.

Both events are designed with the 2012 election in mind, Iowa political strategists said.
