Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Local Apartment

(DES MOINES, Iowa) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Des Moines apartment, the Des Moines Register reports.
Patrick Conner, 34, told police someone knocked on the door of his apartment in the 1000 block of 26th Street around 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday when he was home with a guest. After Conner opened the door and spoke to a man who acted as if he knew a mutual friend, the man allegedly stepped inside and pulled a gun on Conner. A second suspect then reportedly entered and pointed a knife at Conner's guest. He gave the men $150 from his wallet and they left, the paper says.
Officers said they recognized Conner's guest from a different case the week before, but she denied any connection, according to the Register.
No arrests were made.
