Monday is the Deadline to Register to Vote in Primary

(LANSING, Mich.) -- The deadline to register for the primary election in Michigan is August 7.

The following are on the ballot for the Republican Senate seat: Clark Durant, Gary Glenn, Randy Hekman and Pete Hoekstra. The winner will face the incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow. Various races for the House of Representatives and local officials will also be on the ballot.

Voters may register by visiting the secretary of state office, at one’s local clerk’s office or by mail.
