New Details in Missing Lenawee County Boys Investigation
Photo Courtesy - ABC News(MORENCI, Mich.) -- Police in southern Michigan say they are very worried about the three little boys reported missing after they were not dropped off at their mother's house Friday when they were expected. Their father is in an Ohio hospital after a suicide attempt. The parents are separated.
39-year-old John Skelton of Morenci told police he turned his three sons over to a woman named Joann Taylor whom he had met over the internet. He said he didn't want them in the house when he hanged himself. She was supposed to drop them off at their mother's Friday afternoon. The kids never turned up and police have issued an Amber Alert, saying they believe the boys are in danger.
The boys are 5, 7 and 9 years old, and are named Tanner, Alexander and Andrew. Taylor was supposedly driving a silver van and lives in either Jackson or Hillsdale County. Police have not been able to find her or even confirm she actually exists. John Skelton has not been named a suspect in his sons' disappearance, but police say he has not been ruled out, either.
