Katy Perry Arrives in India to Prepare for Wedding

Photo Courtesy - Mark Ralston/AFP/Getty Images(JAIPUR, India) -- Katy Perry and her fiance, Russell Brand, have arrived in Jaipur, India, where their wedding is expected to take place this weekend, according to published reports.  MTV reports that Perry's brother, sister and father have been spotted in the city, as have Brand's mother and his manager.  Perry's close friend, Markus Molinari, and her stylist, Logan Horne, have also been seen.

Writing on Twitter that she "had something to say," Perry announced she was taking a "Twit break," and added, "Greatest gift you can give us is respect and love during this private time.  No use wasting your time with STOLEN or FALSE info. Thank you for this."

Perry, who turns 26 on Monday, had her bachelorette party in Las Vegas last month.  She and Brand, 35, got engaged in India last December.

Speaking to ABC News Radio, Brand explained the reason Perry is the perfect woman for him is that she's just like a "mate" -- meaning the British term for pal -- but adds, "[One] that I live with in a house and sleep in the same bed at nighttime with and occasionally buy kittens with."
