Carrie Underwood's Big Screen Debut and New Soundtrack Tune Coming Soon

Photo Courtesy - Arista Nashville(NEW YORK) -- Carrie Underwood's big-screen debut in the movie Soul Surfer is coming out April 15, 2011, according to  The film tells the story of competitive teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack and then came back to become a champion surfer.

Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt also star in Soul Surfer.

In other news, Underwood's new song, "There's a Place for Us," will be released exclusively on iTunes on Nov. 16.  As previously reported, the singer co-wrote and recorded the tune for the new movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, hitting theaters Dec. 10.

She's already seen a rough cut of the movie and says "I was blown away by the film, and I think people are going to be really excited when they see it."
