Not only is Fergie returning for a fifth year to host the Los Angeles party segments of the show, but viewers will see performances during those segments from the likes of Natasha Bedingfield, Train, Jennifer Hudson and Avril Lavigne, as well as Will Smith's 9-year-old daughter Willow, whose song "Whip My Hair" has become an online sensation.

The event kicks off 10 p.m. ET on Friday, Dec. 31 and will run for three-and-a-half hours, cutting back and forth between Ryan Seacrest, Dick Clark and Jenny McCarthy in New York City's Times Square, and Fergie and the L.A. party segments.  There will also be a look at New Year's celebrations from around the globe, and the traditional countdown to midnight from Times Square.
