'The Situation' Is Over: 'Jersey Shore' Star to Dance No More

Photo Courtesy - ABC/Greg Zabilski(LOS ANGELES) -- Jersey Shore cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and partner Karina Smirnoff were voted off of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night.  The pair received the lowest combined number of viewer and judges votes for an Argentine tango performance Monday that judge Bruno Tonioli described as “a terrible mess.”

After getting the bad news, Sorrentino told co-host Tom Bergernon that he tried his best and at the end of the day someone has to go home.  The MTV reality star also said Jersey Shore viewers only get to see a "little keyhole of who he really is," but on Dancing with the Stars, they got to see “the whole situation.”

Backstage after the show, Smirnoff revealed that Sorrentino had been suffering from “either a wisdom tooth or sore throat” all day Tuesday.

The Dancing with the Stars results show also featured The Goo Goo Dolls performing a live acoustic medley of their classic hit “Iris” and their new single “Not Broken.”  The new British act Florence + The Machine performed their hit song “Dog Days Are Over.”

The Dancing with the Stars competition continues next Monday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC.

David Arquette Dishes on Sexual Problems with Courteney Cox

Photo Courtesy - Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- While discussing his split with Courteney Cox on Howard Stern's radio show Tuesday, David Arquette said he and Cox hadn't had sex in about four months.  The couple announced Monday they had agreed to a "trial separation" after 11 years of marriage.

Arquette said he and Cox stopped having sex about a month before they started filming Scream 4.  He also said that since their breakup, he's been intimate with another woman, Jasmine Waltz, a waitress who was accused of punching Lindsay Lohan last summer during a birthday party for the Mean Girls star.  Arquette did say, however, he remained faithful to Cox before they split.

Arquette, who's 39, called 46-year-old Cox the "greatest woman I ever met," and says she initiated the idea of separating.  He explained, "[She said] 'I don't wanna be your mother anymore.'  I appreciated that.  I respected it.  I've been going to therapy.  I'm trying to grow up.  I'm trying to be true to myself.  Trying to figure out myself and my world, as is she."

He added that Cox "tries to take on everybody's problems.  She's trying to be the mother to everyone.  That's why she doesn't want to be the mother of me anymore."

Arquette also admitted that Cox and her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt may have been more than just co-workers after they were spotted together several times over the summer.  Arquette said he knows the two were having an "emotional affair."

Despite the problems, Arquette, who has a six-year-old daughter with Cox, did make sure to mention he hopes they can work through their issues.

O'Brien reacted to Richter's news by joking, "This decision was made without my authority.  I will get to the bottom of this."

Richter, who started out with O'Brien on Late Night before leaving for several years, reunited with O'Brien during his stint on The Tonight Show.
