Jennifer Grey to Dance to 'Dirty Dancing' Theme Song in 'DWTS'?

Photo Courtesy - ABC/Adam Larkey(LOS ANGELES) -- Monday night is the final performance night of Dancing with the Stars, so that means it's also the last night that Jennifer Grey can do what a lot of fans have probably been hoping she'll do all season -- dance to her Dirty Dancing signature song, "(I've Had) The Time of My Life."  Is it going to happen?  The man who wrote the song says it's possible, and likely probable.

Franke Previte, who co-wrote "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" -- and won an Oscar for it, too -- says that he's received a request from Dancing with the Stars for permission to use the song, as well as an inquiry about how much it would cost.

Previte tells ABC News Radio, "Usually when they ask you for [those things], it means something's going on. I can't tell you for sure, but there's a good chance."

As for whether or not Grey will beat Bristol Palin and Kyle Massey and become the DWTS champ, Previte says he'd be "shocked" if Grey didn't win, adding, "She just has this thing about her.  There's this magic about her when she dances.  Even when she's in pain, she pulls it out."

Black Eyed Peas Reportedly Booked for Super Bowl Halftime Show

Photo Courtesy - Interscope Records(DALLAS) -- Rumors have been swirling since September that the Black Eyed Peas will be rocking out on stage for the 2011 Super Bowl halftime show.  But now, the Dallas Morning News says that a "source close to the NFL" has confirmed that the Peas have landed the gig.

An official spokesman for the NFL had no comment and when Billboard asked Will.I.Am, he wouldn't confirm it, either.  However, he did tell Billboard that the Peas would be honored to get the gig, and added, "We're Americans.  Some of those cats [who played the Super Bowl] weren't even Americans. I love The Rolling Stones.  I love U2.  I love The Who....but this would be Americans...this generation.  When those cats played the Super Bowl, their songs weren't on the Top 40 at that time.  So it's like, 'Wow, our songs are on the radio, and we're in that company.'  That's a sign that tells us where we can go with our career."

Should the Peas play the Super Bowl, which takes place Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium, it would mark a shift away from the veteran acts who've dominated the slot ever since Janet Jackson's notorious "wardrobe malfunction" in 2004.  Since then, Paul McCartney, the Stones, the Who, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Prince have all performed.

'Harry Potter' Earns $125M in Opening Weekend

Photo Courtesy - Jaap Buitendijk/Warner Bros(LOS ANGELES) -- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1, earned an estimated $125.1 million domestically on its first weekend, putting the new film at the top of the heap in the franchise for opening weekend revenue, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.

Playing on a whopping 4,125 screens across the country, Deathly Hollows topped the previous franchise leader, 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which took in $102.7 million in its first weekend, to become the sixth-biggest opening weekend of all time.

The film does fall slightly short of the record for highest opening weekend for 2010, a crown which goes to this summer's Iron Man 2. The blockbuster sequel took in a staggering $128.1 million its first weekend back in May.

DreamWorks' animated Megamind finished second this weekend with $109 million. In third was the action thriller Unstoppable, followed by Due Date, and the debut of The Next Three Days.

Tony Parker Counter Files for Divorce from Eva Longoria

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Two days after Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria filed for divorce from San Antonio Spurs basketball point guard Tony Parker, her husband of three years, he has counter filed for divorce.

TMZ.com has obtained documents showing that Parker has filed a petition in Bexar County, Texas -- where a divorce can be finalized as quickly as 60 days.

According to the petition, Parker states that "the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent," TMZ reported.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court spokeswoman confirmed to ABC News that Longoria filed for divorce from Parker on Wednesday morning, citing irreconcilable differences.

Us Weekly magazine reports that Parker's "inappropriate" text messages with another woman led to the couple's split. According to the magazine, Longoria recently discovered that Parker has been exchanging personal texts with a mutual female friend for nearly a year -- in one month, they reportedly exchanged hundreds of messages.

The Desperate Housewives actress wed the San Antonio Spurs point guard on July 7, 2007 in an elaborate Parisian ceremony. Parker, 28, was raised in France.

'Dancing' Scare: Bristol Palin Targeted by Threatening Letter?

Photo Courtesy - ABC/ADAM LARKEY(LOS ANGELES) -- The FBI is investigating the source of a threatening letter containing white powder that arrived Friday night at the Dancing With the Stars production office.

The scare forced the evacuation of the Los Angeles studio used to shoot the ABC television show.

"Measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel,” ABC spokesperson Amy Astley said in a statement. “Ultimately we were advised by the LAFD that the substance was determined to be talcum powder."

TMZ.com reports the letter targeted contestant Bristol Palin, the oldest daughter of former Republican vice-presidential candidate and Alaska governor Sarah Palin. The FBI would not confirm the recipient to ABC News.

It's the latest turn in a controversial week for the show. On Tuesday, Bristol Palin survived a shocking elimination night, advancing to the finals over singer Brandy who earned perfect scores. Outraged viewers flooded ABC with complaints. One man was arrested for shooting his television, disgusted that Palin made it through.

Wesley Snipes Ordered to Jail

Photo Courtesy - Paul Archuleta/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Actor Wesley Snipes has been ordered to report to jail by a federal judge who denied his request for a new trial.

The star of the 1998 movie "U.S. Marshals" now must surrender to the real U.S. Marshals Service or the Bureau of Prisons to begin serving a three-year prison term.

Recently, defense attorneys for the actor tried to seek a new trial after they received e-mails from two jurors in the case who allegedly said they determined Snipes was guilty before the trial began. E-mails from the jurors said that they agreed to convict the star of "Blade" and White Men Can't Jump because they did not envision that he would actually go to jail.

One of the e-mails sent to Snipes' defense team from an anonymous juror on July 16, 2010 noted, "Certain jurors that had already presumed he was guilty before the trail [sic] started and we only found this out in the last few days of deliberation. We thought we were making the right deal because we did not think he would go to jail for not filing taxes."

Snipes was convicted by a jury on Feb. 1, 2008 and later was sentenced to three years in prison for failing to pay taxes on $38 million of income. The actor was allowed to remain free on bond pending appeal. In his order denying the request for a new trial, U.S. District Court Judge William Terrell Hodges said that rules of evidence and procedure, "prohibits a juror from testifying (or offering an affidavit) about any matter that occurred during deliberations except for extraneous prejudicial information, outside influence, or a mistake in entering the verdict onto the verdict form."

In his order Judge Hodges noted, "The Defendant Snipes had a fair trial; he has had a full, fair, and thorough review of his conviction and sentence by the Court of Appeals; and he has had a full, fair, and thorough review of his present claims, during all of which he has remained at liberty. The time has come for the judgment to be enforced."
