Steely Dan, Al Green Music Join National Recording Registry

Comstock/Thinkstock(WASHINGTON) -- Steely Dan's classic album Aja and Al Green's signature hit, "Let's Stay Together," are among the recordings that the Library of Congress will add to the National Recording Registry this year.

Each year, the Library of Congress selects certain recordings for preservation that "represent the vast imagination and creativity of the nation's aural heritage."

In addition to "Let's Stay Together" and Aja, which produced the smash hit "Peg," the 25 recordings going into the registry this year include a 1908 recording of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," Henri Mancini's "Music from Peter Gunn," Tammy Wynette's "Stand by Your Man," and De La Soul's groundbreaking 1989 hip-hop album 3 Feet High and Rising.

Kirstie Alley Gets Tattoo After Stumble on 'Dancing with the Stars'

ABC/ADAM TAYLOR(LOS ANGELES) -- Kirstie Alley's stumble on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars didn't keep her down for long.

TV's Extra reports the actress -- who fell after her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, lost his footing during their performance due to what he said was a "charley horse" -- got a tattoo on her left wrist of the word "Unbroken" following the show.

Alley tweeted, "Party girl? not so much tonight...BUT I did get a tattoo and I love it....and I had fun...in the end this turned into a magical night."

Chmerkovskiy doesn't enjoy the attention he's received because of his mishap.

He told ABC's Good Morning America on Tuesday, "My philosophy is I just wanna be in the background...and I feel like this being the most talked-about moment kinda takes away from Hines [Ward] and from Petra [Nemcova] doing their phenomenal routines, and even from Kirstie, obviously."

Charlie Sheen Seeks to Trademark His Catch Phrases

Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- A company linked to Charlie Sheen, called Hyro-gliff, has sought to trademark 22 of the actor's popular catch phrases, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Hyro-gliff filed paperwork last month to trademark Sheen's semi-classic expressions, including "Adonis DNA," "Duh, Winning," "Vatican Assassin," "Tiger Blood," "Rock Star from Mars," "Sober Valley Lodge" and "Sheen's Goddesses," as well as the actor's name and signature.  The request seeks a trademark for items such as bras, drinks, games, candy and gambling devices.

A spokesman for the former Two and a Half Men star says they will decide what to use the trademarks for at a later date, should their petition be approved.

'Dancing with the Stars': Wendy Williams Voted Off

Bob D'Amico/ABC News(LOS ANGELES) -- Talk show host Wendy Williams and partner Tony Dovolani were voted off ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night after receiving the lowest combined total of judges’ scores and viewer votes.  The couple performed a foxtrot Monday that judge Len Goodman said was a struggle and more suited for the radio.

After getting the bad news Tuesday, Williams told co-host Brooke Burke the experience has been a wonderful opportunity, and she thanked her partner Tony for teaching her how to dance.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy said he was fine after Monday night’s ballroom tumble with partner Kirstie Alley.  Earlier Wednesday during an appearance on ABC's Good Morning America, Maks blamed the mishap on a "charley horse."

The results show also featured musical performances by OneRepublic.  The band performed their newest release, "Good Life," along with their hit "All the Right Moves." Selena Gomez & The Scene was also on the show to perform their newest single, "Who Says."

Dancing with the Stars returns next Monday at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC.

Paris Hilton’s Mom Says Daughter Is the Original Reality Star

Marcel Thomas/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Kim Kardashian and her sisters may be popular reality stars, but Paris Hilton's mom, Kathy, claims they would be nothing if it wasn’t for her daughter.  The New York Post reports Kathy Hilton was at a Manhattan bar Saturday night, and quotes a source at the bar as saying Mother Hilton was “going on about how Paris is the original reality star and all the others had her to thank for their success.”

When someone mentioned Kim Kardashian, who was once described as a stylist for Paris, Kathy Hilton dismissed her by saying, “Oh, she used to work for Paris.”  The source claims Kathy Hilton said Kim Kardashian has “copied everything Paris has done."

The newspaper quotes a kinder, gentler Kathy Hilton on Monday as saying "I love Kim" before adding that Paris is “one of the pioneers” of the reality TV business.

Reese Witherspoon: I Married Too Young

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Reese Witherspoon knows that wisdom comes with age.  The Oscar-winning actress, who got married for the second time last month when she tied the knot with Jim Toth, said she was too young to get hitched when she and first husband Ryan Phillippe said their "I dos."

Witherspoon, who was 24 when she and Phillippe married, tells Britain's Elle magazine, "I was so, so young.  I was, like, ridiculously young.  I learned a lot, though.  It was an excellent opportunity for me to really find out what it means to be a partner and to be in a marriage and it’s not anything that I thought it was."

Getting married again was a thrill for Witherspoon.  She said, "It's an exciting feeling.  [Somebody saying], 'You're the one.'  And it's a surprise.  You know, I'm surprised when people who aren't related to me see my movies.  And you're surprised somebody wants to be with you because, boy, I've got a lot of quirks and wrinkles."

While Witherspoon sounds surprised Toth wants to marry her, she's also surprised people think she lives a glamorous life.  She said, "There’s this fallacy that we can have it all.  I get it often, 'Oh, you have it all' -- and I don't...there are times I go to work and I feel sick because I can't see my kids for five days.  And it's real hard to go.  Work is important to me.  The kids are important to me.  My relationship's important to me.  But all three can't be functioning at 100 percent at all times."

It’s MC! Thank you so much for my [Kids Choice Award]! PS I am taking over the Gypsy Heart twitter!” Later, she explained her return, tweeting, "I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for two reasons -- my fans and to follow Charlie Sheen.”

Then in an explosion of tweets, Miley picked up right where she left off back in 2009, talking about her favorite music, posting a picture of her dog, and declaring that her goal was to reach one million fans.

Hugh Grant Bails on Bar Bill

Athit Perawongmetha/Getty Images for Mission Hills(DOVER, England) -- We don't know if Hugh Grant is having money problems, but we do know he skipped out on a bill at a British pub, according to Britain's Daily Mail.  The tabloid reports the Four Weddings and a Funeral star recently walked out of a watering hole in the town of Dover without paying his tab.

The owner of The Castle Inn said, "People normally hand over the money when they get the beer but a couple of guys at the bar asked for his autograph and I assume he got distracted."

Grant, who ordered a few beers, racked up a $9 bill, but the owner is taking the mistake in stride, saying, "If he does it all round the country then it's a great scam to get free drinks but if this was a one off I will put it down to an honest mistake."

It's unclear if Grant ever returned to The Castle Inn to pay his debt.
