ABC's "The View" Reportedly Eyeing Hoda Kotb

Andrew Eccles/NBC(NEW YORK) -- Today co-host Hoda Kotb is the latest name to be thrown around to join the ladies of ABC's The View.

The New York Post reports that ABC producers are interested in Kotb to fill one of many vacant seats on the daytime talk show panel.  A source told the paper The View is “very interested” and has already reached out to Kotb's team for talks.

Another source told the Post, “Hoda addresses several of their needs.  She has news experience, which is something The View has not had since Meredith Vieira left.  She also adds some diversity to the panel.”

A rep for ABC told the paper, "There’s absolutely zero truth to this whatsoever."

Kotb currently sits alongside Kathie Lee Gifford as the two co-hosts of the fourth hour of NBC's Today.

The View has already lost one co-host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who left earlier this month.  The ABC daytime talk show will also lose Joy Behar, who's been a panelist on the show since its 1997 debut.  Her last appearance as co-host will air in August.

And creator Barbara Walters announced her retirement earlier this year.  She’s planning to retire next summer after 37 years with ABC but will make occasional appearances on the show.
