(NEW YORK) -- Sure, they give some people headaches and others complain that they don't see the difference, but most moviegoers enjoy the 3D experience and are looking forward to this summer's crop of 3D films, a survey by the International 3D Society has found.
In a recent poll conducted with 1,011 Americans ages 18 and up, the International 3D Society says that 52 percent of respondents have gone to see at least one 3D movie over the past three years.
Of this group, 71 percent claim 3D surpasses conventional 2D movies, with about three-in-ten calling their experience with 3D "incredible."
Meanwhile, there are plenty of 3D movies opening this summer and throughout the rest of 2012, including The Avengers, Men in Black 3, The Amazing Spiderman, Prometheus, Katy Perry: Part of Me and The Great Gatsby.
