Arnold Schwarzenegger Wants to End Legal Barrier to White House?

Scott Barbour/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Despite the paternity scandal that clouded his life after he left office as the governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger apparently still has his sights set on the White House.

The New York Post reports he is seeking to terminate the law in the U.S. Constitution that keeps non-natural-born U.S. citizens out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The Austrian-born U.S. citizen, who will be seen in theaters this weekend in Escape Plan, "has been talking openly about working on getting the constitutional rules changed so he can run for president in 2016," a source tells the paper.  "He is ready to file legal paperwork to challenge the rules."

After his term as California governor ended, Schwarzenegger admitted in May 2011 that he had secretly fathered a son named Joseph more than a decade before with former housekeeper Mildred Baena.  Schwarzenegger's wife Maria Shriver filed for divorce in July of that year, but while the pair remains separated, they have not formally divorced.
