Billie Lourd travels to Norway to honor late mother Carrie Fisher

Lucasfilms/ Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures(LOS ANGELES) -- On the one-year anniversary of Carrie Fisher's death, her daughter Billie Lourde paid an emotional tribute to the Star Wars icon by traveling to Norway to see the Northern Lights.

"My momby had an otherworldly obsession with the northern lights, but I never got to see them with her," Lourde wrote in an Instagram post. "We journeyed to  northern Norway to see if we might 'see the heavens lift up her dark skirts and flash her dazzling privates across [our] unworthy irises.' And she did."

Along with the touching words, Lourde includes a picture of herself and her father, Bryan Lourde, under the aurora borealis.

She closes the post, "I love you times infinity."

Lorude also pays tribute to her grandmother, film legend Debbie Reynolds, who died the day after Fisher. The American Horror Story: Cult actress posted an Instagram picture of a much younger Reynolds and Fisher.

Lourde appears alongside her mother in the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is Fisher's last role before her death. The film is also dedicated to the actress, ending with the words: "In Loving Memory of Our Princess, Carrie Fisher."

Fisher died December 27, 2016, four days after she stopped breathing on board a plane just before it landed at Los Angeles International Airport. She was 60. Reynolds died the next day of a stroke.
