(NEW YORK) -- Miley Cyrus' parents are splitting up. Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from his wife, Tish Cyrus, after 19 years of marriage.
In a statement obtained by ABC News, Billy Ray says, “This is a personal matter and we are doing what is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
People magazine reports Tish has filed her own divorce petition and is seeking spousal support, as well as primary physical and legal custody of the couple's 13-year-old daughter, Noah. They have a total of five children, including 20-year-old Miley.
Speaking of Miley, she's apparently got her own issues with dad. She tweeted Thursday, "@billyraycyrus since your text and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?"
Billy Ray, who's 51, filed for divorce in 2010, but withdrew his petition several months later.
