Bristol Palin's Heckler Issues Apology

Adam Bettcher/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- The man who heckled Bristol Palin and ridiculed her mother at a West Hollywood restaurant/bar last Thursday now regrets the confrontation. Via a statement released by his lawyer to E! News, 47-year-old talent manager Stephen Hanks said he's reviewed footage of his verbal attack on Palin and has "come to the conclusion that no matter what my feelings are towards Sarah Palin, I should not have expressed them towards her daughter, Bristol Palin." He also said, "I expressed my feelings in an improper manner in the heat of the moment, and allowed my emotions to get the better of me." He apologized to Bristol and wished her "happiness in the future."

Hanks' attorney says his client has received threats in the wake of the incident, in which he told Bristol her mother is a whore and is going to hell. Palin responded in part by asking him if he is a homosexual. Footage of their exchange was subsequently posted on YouTube.

Palin was at the bar taping a segment for a reality show for the Bio channel.
