(LOS ANGELES) -- Director and co-writer of the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII movie, JJ Abrams, took to Twitter by address leaked pictures from the set of the anticipated film -- by stoking fanboy appetites about a returning favorite even further.
"I wish people would stop leaking photos from Episode VII and making ridiculous claims that the Millennium Falcon is in the movie - JJ," read a handwritten note in the pic Abrams tweeted Wednesday. The note in the picture, however, confirmed that's the case, as it's clearly resting on a Dejarik table, the holographic chess-like game located on Han Solo's beloved ride.
Abrams' note is in response to pictures released by TMZ from the movie's U.K. studio set. The photos showed under-construction full-sized versions of the iconic Millennium Falcon, and an X-Wing fighter.
The full-sized ship set pics were warmly welcomed by fans, who are eager to see Abrams making good on an earlier promise to not rely as heavily on computer-generated sets, and shoot more like George Lucas did on his original trilogy.
Episode VII opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.
