Chris Pine Pleads Guilty to DUI in New Zealand

Lisa Maree Williams/Getty Images(WELLINGTON, New Zealand) -- Star Trek actor Chris Pine pleaded guilty Monday in a New Zealand court to DUI, stemming from an arrest earlier this month.

According to the Ashburton Guardian, the 33-year-old actor was barred from driving in New Zealand for six months. In addition, he was ordered to pay a fine of 93 New Zealand dollars, the equivalent of 79 U.S. dollars.

Pine was pulled over during a routine drunken-driving operation March 1 near Methven, on New Zealand's South Island, after attending a party to celebrate the end of filming of his movie Z for Zachariah. Pine said he had consumed four vodka drinks.

He had attended the bash with his girlfriend, Icelandic model Iris Bjork Johannesdottir.

Z for Zachariah, also starring 12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor and The Wolf of Wall Street's Margot Robbie, will open next year.
