'Colombiana,' 'Our Idiot Brother,' 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark' Open Friday

Comstock Images/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- Here's a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:

-- Colombiana: Avatar actress Zoe Saldana plays an assassin seeking revenge against the mobster who murdered her parents when she was a child.  Rated PG-13.

-- Our Idiot Brother: Paul Rudd's Ned is a slacker who interferes with his three sisters' lives after his girlfriend breaks up with him.  Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer, and Rashida Jones also star.  Rated R.

-- Don't Be Afraid of the Dark: A young girl discovers a portal to some hellish monsters while exploring her father's new mansion.  Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce and Bailee Madison star in this Guillermo del Toro-produced horror flick.  Rated R.
