"Dancing with the Stars" Week Four: Bristol Palin Voted Off

ABC(LOS ANGELES) -- Bristol Palin has been tripped up on Dancing with the Stars. The Life's a Tripp star and her partner, Mark Ballas, were eliminated from the ABC series Tuesday night after receiving the lowest combined total of judges' scores and viewer votes.

With her mom, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, looking on with her dad Todd, Bristol said she was happy to have reached the fourth week of competition.

Bristol never established herself as a top-scoring celebrity this season, but she earned praise from the judges Monday night for showing improvement during her 1950s rock 'n' roll dance.

Palin and Ballas were joined in the bottom two by Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who will return next week.

The musical guests on the results show were former Mirror Ball trophy winner Donny Osmond and Susan Boyle, who sang their duet "This Is the Moment." The song is featured on Boyle's new album, Standing Ovation, due out November 13.

Next Monday, the celebrities will dance individual routines set to their favorite "guilty pleasure" song. Gilles Marini has already revealed that he will do the rumba to Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You."

The stars will also be divided into two teams for a freestyle dance. The captains of the two squads are this week's high scorers, Marini and Shawn Johnson.

Marini, joined by Alley, Kelly Monaco and Emmitt Smith, will dance to Psy's "Gangnam Style." Palin was selected to the team before her elimination.

Johnson, Sabrina Bryan, Melissa Rycroft and Apolo Anton Ohno will dance to the Carly Rae Jepsen hit "Call Me Maybe."

Next Monday's performance show will air on ABC at 8 p.m. Eastern time. It will only be one hour long, rather than the usual two hours, due to ABC's coverage of the third presidential debate.
