Danny DeVito Receives Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Steve Granitz/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Danny DeVito received the 2,445th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.

The 66-year-old actor-director has had a number of memorable roles through the years, from Martini in the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest to Louie De Palma in the classic sitcom Taxi, to his current role as the manipulative Frank Reynolds on TV's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Don't ask him to name a favorite role, however.

DeVito tells ABC News Radio, "I try to nail them all, and every one of them is like your babies and I love them all.  I loved being in Taxi and Cuckoo's Nest and all of the different things.  And now Sunny is like a real gift and I'm having a great time.  It's like a freedom.  It's terrific."

DeVito says he never expected to have the kind of success he's enjoyed when he first arrived in Hollywood 44 years ago.  He reveals he was only concerned at the time with doing whatever he had to do "to survive, take care of yourself, and always having the hope that...someday, something's going to shine down upon you."
