"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" Opens Nationwide Friday

Fox(NEW YORK) -- The latest film in the Planet of the Apes franchise debuts nationwide Friday.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the follow-up to the 2011 reboot Rise of the Planet of the Apes, pits the genetically-evolved primates against humans who've survived a deadly virus. Andy Serkis returns as the leader of the apes, Caesar.

Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and Kodi Smit-McPhee also star in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the only film opening in wide release. It's screening in 3D and is rated PG-13.
