Deadline Looms for Lindsay Lohan to Accept Plea Deal

ABC News(LOS ANGELES) -- If Lindsay Lohan is willing to accept a plea deal in her stolen necklace case, she'd better act fast.

Wednesday is the last day she can accept a plea deal, which, depending on which reports you believe, could put her anywhere between two months and six months behind bars.  If she does take the plea deal, she would plead guilty or no contest to a grand theft charge at a hearing this Friday.

Should Lohan choose to reject the plea deal, a hearing will be held on April 22, at which time a judge will determine if there's enough evidence for Lohan to stand trial.  The court would also determine whether the actress violated the terms of her probation in her 2007 DUI cases with the alleged theft.  Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz, who has been handling the case, would not preside over that hearing.

Lohan is facing allegations that she stole a $2,500 necklace from the Venice, California jewelry store Kamofie & Co in January.
