Diane Keaton Says She's Still Woody Allen's Friend Amid Sex Abuse Allegation

Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Dylan Farrow, the adopted daughter of director Woody Allen and actress Mia Farrow, recently revived past accusations that Allen abused her as a child, but one person in Allen's life will not waver in her friendship with him.

"I’m Woody’s friend and I’ve been Woody’s friend for 45 years and nothing’s going to change that," Diane Keaton says in the May issue of More magazine.

Dylan Farrow detailed the alleged abuse in an open letter published in The New York Times. Allen has long denied the abuse claims and defended himself in his own open letter on the Times' website, saying, "Of course, I did not molest Dylan."

Keaton starred in eight Woody Allen movies, including 1972’s Play It Again, Sam, 1995’s Love and Death, 1977’s Annie Hall and Manhattan Murder Mystery in 1993. Allen reportedly wrote the title role of Annie Hall for Keaton. It earned her an Academy Award as best actress.  Keaton and Allen were romantically involved for a time.

Keaton has also been linked to her other co-stars, including Warren Beatty and Al Pacino, but she has never married.

In her interview with More, Keaton, 68, says she could've walked down the aisle for the right man.  "I told myself I wanted to [marry] but I didn’t really want a man that I could have...I wanted the dream."

Keaton details her life, including her love affairs, in her new book, Let’s Just Say It Wasn’t Pretty, out April 29.
