Director Blake Edwards Dies at 88

Photo Courtesy - Dan Steinberg/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Longtime director Blake Edwards has died, reports Variety.  He was 88.  Edwards directed such classic films as Breakfast at Tiffany's, Days of Wine and Roses, The Pink Panther, 10, S.O.B. and Victor/Victoria

Though he never won an Oscar, he was nominated once -- for writing Victor/Victoria.  In 2004, he received an honorary Academy Award for his work in film.  He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Julie Andrews, who appeared in S.O.B. and Victor/Victoria.
