"Dumb and Dumber" Sequel Hits Snag

Comstock/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) -- The long-awaited sequel to Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels' 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber has stalled.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros., the parent company of the film's studio New Line, has decided not to pursue the project, which could still be shopped elsewhere.

The directors of the original, the Farrelly brothers, are set to return for the sequel, the plot of which would find Carrey's Lloyd and Daniels' Harry searching for Harry's illegitimate daughter.
