Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg Stops by 'SNL'

Photo Courtesy - NICHOLAS KAMM/AFP/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Mark Zuckerberg surprised the Saturday Night Live audience this week when he joined guest host Jesse Eisenberg -- who played the Facebook co-founder in a not-so-flattering light in The Social Network -- for the show's opening monologue.

"Have you two not met? Awkward!" asked SNL's Andy Samberg, who was dressed as Zuckerberg, before leaving the stage.

"Did you ever end up seeing the film?" asked Eisenberg, who is nominated for a best actor Oscar for his portrayal. "What did you think?"

"It was interesting," said Zuckerberg with his teeth clenched.

"Interesting? I'll take it!" Eisenberg shot back.

In the past Zuckerberg has called the critically-acclaimed film "fiction."

"But, you know, I mean, the real story of Facebook is just that we've worked so hard for all this time. I mean, the real story is actually probably pretty boring, right? I mean, we just sat at our computers for six years and coded."

The Social Network is nominated for eight Academy Awards, which will be broadcast live Feb. 27 on ABC.
