(LOS ANGELES) -- A throng of screaming fans greeted Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and the other stars of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie Monday night.
The second film of a four-film adaptation of the bestselling book series will have Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen on a Hunger Games victory tour that inspires a rebellion in the 12 segregated districts of the post-apocalyptic North America called Panem.
Along the red carpet, however, there was a victory lap of a different kind, as fans clamored to see the stars, including Alan Ritchson, who plays Gloss. He was handed a pair of flame-decorated undies by one of those fans.
"I feel like every interview, I should get some more underwear," he joked to ABC News Radio.
"I don't ever buy underwear is the problem," Ritchson added.
Jenna Malone, who plays Johanna Mason in Catching Fire, called it "an honor" to be a part of the series.
"I feel like it's just so nice to be in touch with a younger generation," she enthused.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which also stars Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci, and Lenny Kravitz, opens nationwide on Nov. 22.
